With over 800 acres of unspoilt countryside, interesting attractions and quaint villages, the Hamble Valley is a perfect destination for discovering, whether as a day visit or for a short break, where the surrounding areas of the New Forest, Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester are all within striking distance.
The Point - It’s been a busy few months since I arrived at The Point at the beginning of the year and I’m delighted to be able to introduce my first season as director. You may have noticed we have launched a new logo and brochure. We have also redesigned our web site to make it easier to see what’s on and to book online. There’s a new look in our foyer too. The fantastic StopMotion exhibition of dance photographs by Chris Nash has arrived at the end of an international tour and will be in the foyer/gallery space for a year. During the summer a new company, Tapenade, took over the café bar and is now offering mouth-watering dishes created using fresh, local produce as well as the best coffee in town. Watch out for meal offers around specific performances and come early to enjoy some food and a glass or two before the show. The bar is now open after performances too, so why not linger a while and meet the performers before heading home?
